A FIVE-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE**
Marked Joseph Shoemaker, Philadelphia, circa 1825
Comprising: coffee pot, teapot, cream jug, covered sugar bowl, and waste bowl, each oblong form on rectangluar base raised on four ball feet, the base applied with band of repeating stars, the body with floral band, the pot handles with dragon head joins and spouts with masks of mythical beasts, the hinged covers with bud finials issuing from foliate wreath, each marked underside of body except coffee pot marked inside of cover, and the waste bowl unmarked.
