Circa 1761-1773, blue interlaced L's mark, incised addorsed c's forming an x
The center with a wreath of flowers, the border with fan-shaped panels of enamel blue gilt with trellis alternate with similar wreaths entwined around the tips of the foliate scrolls issuing from the top center of the trellis panels

Several pieces from this dessert service are known, including two plates in the Louvre, one a bequest of M. Pannier in 1918, the other the gift of Charles-Otto Zieseniss; a third from the collection of Madame Ephrussi, sold Galerie Georges Petit, Paris, 3 July 1920 and again Galerie Charpentier, Paris, 5 April 1938, lot 38; two compotiers sold Sotheby's, London, 2 February 1981, lot 47; and another plate from the collection of M. Zieseniss, sold Christie's Paris, 6 December 2001, lot 215. Two square dishes from the service were sold Sotheby's, New York, 5 November 1998, lot 125 (each panel with a variant diaper pattern) and 126 (each with the same diaper pattern as on the present example).
