A SEVRES FRISE RICHE CUP AND SAUCER (GOBELET 'LITRON' ET SOUCOUPE, 3EME GRANDEUR)
Black interlaced L's enclosing date letter R for 1770, painter's mark for Guillaume Nöel to both, incised fe to the saucer
Painted in the style of Nöel with a band of crossed gilt scrolls suspending a harebell, drapery and flower garlands beneath a tooled gilt scalloped band and a further gilt-striated blue enamel band between the decoration and the rim, gilt dentil rims
2 3/8in. (6cm.) high, the saucer; 5in. (12.7cm.) diam., the saucer (2)
