Lot Essay

This watercolour depicts London Bridge with its buildings removed. They were demolished between 1758 and 1762. St Olave's Church, Tooley Street can be seen at the end of the South end of the Bridge; and St. Saviour's Church, now Southwark Cathedral is on the right.
