A WEST SEMITIC CHALCEDONY CYLINDER SEAL
Circa 700-400 B.C.
With a goddess standing with her legs apart on the back of a recumbent lion, wearing a feather crown and a long robe which opens at the front to reveal a shorter kilt below, two globe tipped quivers on her back, a large bow in her left hand which rests on the top of the lion's head, with two bearded worshippers to the right with long wrap-around robes, their hands raised, the terminal a star, a lunar crescent and the pleiades, with an inscription in Old Arabian with the owner's name, "H-d-y-n"
