The gold mount and the porcelain apparently unmarked, Meissen, 1725-1730
The shaped oblong box painted with various chinoiserie scenes in the manner of Johann Ehrenfried Stadler (1701-1741), the reverse, the back, the bombé front, the inside and outside of the gold hinged cover painted with chinese figures at various pursuits with fly wisks, umbrellas, birds and flowering bushes, within rectangular panels with Goldspitzbordüre, Eisenrothi floral scrolls, and the side panels each with Indianische Blumen
