Signed Miyao, 19th century
carrying the infant on her back supporting it with one hand and holding a tetsubin in the other, wearing a head dress above hair tied in a chignon with a gilt headband, wearing a tassle tied robes decorated with floral sprays and stylised flower heads -- 11 3/8in. (29cm.) high, gilt laquered wood stand (section above lady's head missing)
