A miniature Satsuma waisted baluster vase
Meiji Period
with short neck and high shaped foot, painted and gilt with a continuous river landscape scene, below floral lappets around the shoulder and dense flowers to the foot -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) high; a miniature ewer and cover with kiku head finial, decorated with children at play and further chrysanthemums -- 3¼in. (8.2cm.) high; and an elongated ewer and cover, painted and gilt with a multitude of flowers -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high, all signed Yabu Meizan, with three related wood stands, (damages).
