Cylindrical and on spreading foot chased with flowers and foliate scrolls on matted ground, the hinged domed cover similarly chased, with demi-female figure scroll handle and scroll thumbpiece, part lacking, the body carved with a band Vikings listening to a bard, the cover with warrior finial

Almost certainly bought by Beriah Botfield, Esq. (1807-1863), Norton Hall and by whom bequeathed to the Thynne family.
