Of oval section, on domed reeded oval silver-gilt foot, the ivory body deeply carved with a frieze of hunters on foot and on horseback with hunting dogs chasing wild boar in a woodland setting, with mountains and castles beyond, with leaf-capped scroll handle and bifurcated scroll thumbpiece, the plain domed silver-gilt cover with detachable grape finial, marked on base and cover with maker's mark only
