A George III silver composite four-piece tea and coffee-service
Mark of Paul Storr, London, 1808, 1809, 1810 and 1812
Comprising teapot, coffee-pot, sugar-bowl and cream-jug, each partly fluted, of slightly bombé form with moulded mid-rib, on circular gadrooned foot, with gadrooned borders and bifurcated serpent handles, and foliage and anthemion-capped spouts, the coffee-pot and teapot each with wooden scroll handle with bifurcated serpent upper terminal and anthemion, wing and serpent's mask lower terminal, and hinged slightly domed covers each with fluted ivory finial, the teapot engraved on one side with a coat-of-arms within scroll mantling, the other with a crest, and on the cover with a baron's coronet, marked on bases and covers
