ANGELUS DE CLAVASIO. Summa angelica de casibus conscientiae, Strassburg: Martin Flach, 1 December 1491. 2° (287 x 198mm.). 370 leaves, including the final blank, 54 lines and headline, double column, gothic letter, a few initials supplied in red, rubricated. (Short tears, but affecting text in N2 & N3, a few wormholes in the lower margins throughout, a few wormholes from the middle of the book increasing towards the end affecting text slightly, a few leaves lightly discoloured). Contemporary South German goatskin over wooden boards, sides divided into triangular compartments decorated with various stamps, rosettes, an arrow through a trefoil, a palmette, a bird, etc., surrounded by a border of some of the same tools (somewhat worn, lacks clasps). Provenance: early annotation on title and at margins.
