A 3in. scale model of a Burrell two speed three shaft General Purpose Traction Engine
built by R.S. Dougan with brazed copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, whistle, injector and clack valves. Engine details include cylinder approximately 2in. bore x 2½in. stroke, draincocks and pipes, mechanical lubricator, bar type crosshead guides, Stephenson's link reverse, wedged and bolted big end, two road speeds, eccentric driven feed pump, belt driven pickering type governor and spoked flywheel. Chassis details include rubber tyred spoked wheels with brass hubcaps, worm and roller chain steering, damper (operating rod detached) cable drum, fairleads, injector, whistle, hand operated brake to second shaft and hand feed pump, finished in red, green, black and brightwork --29x 46in. (73 x 117cm.) Blower, tools and useful items.
