A Vienna blue-ground part cabaret
Circa 1815, blue shield marks, various Pressnummern
Painted en grisaille with classical allegorical figures with appropriate attributes within gilt octagonal cartouches, comprising: a cylindrical coffee-pot and cover with La Justice., a cylindrical hot-water jug and cover with La Diligence. (handle restored, finial restuck), a navette-shaped sugar-bowl with scroll handles on a rectangular base with La Vigilance. (restored), two coffee-cans with L'Harmonie. (handle restored) and La Santé (restoration to rim and handle), and two saucers (some rubbing to blue enamel and gilding)
