AN UNUSUAL SILVER-MOUNTED HUNTING SWORD
Circa 1800
With straight single-edged fullered blade with etched, blued and gilt decoration over nearly half its length, and double-edged at the point, the hilt with acorn quillons, naturalistically modelled pommel cast and chased in relief in the form of a hound's head, and curved grip of natural staghorn, in its original leather scabbard (defective) with silver mounts (the locket a working replacement), Rome city mark
