With tapering barrel, the raised sighting flat running almost full-length and bearing a brass fore-sight, the rear of the breech with a raised moulding, border engraved signed lock with moulded border (jaw-screw replaced), moulded walnut full stock with raised stepped moulding at the barrel tang and a carved foliate spray in relief behind the rear ramrod-pipe, moulded brass mounts including trigger-guard with foliate finial, elaborately pierced cast and chased serpentine side-plate, pierced and chased escutcheon, spurred pommel with grotesque mask cap, baluster ramrod-pipes, and iron-capped ramrod (some surface rust and pitting)
