A RARE 32-BORE GERMAN ALL-METAL FLINTLOCK PISTOL, IN A HOLSTER
Third quarter of the 17th Century
With plain barrel mounted with external action on the left side of the breech and with cock, pan, steel, and steel-spring on the right (cock replaced, pan repaired), swelling hollow flat-sided brass butt (repaired above the trigger) engraved with vases of flowers on the pommel, three annular ramrod-pipes, and slender steel ramrod, the holster of tooled leather decorated with flowers, foliage, and two armorial shields, all on a punched ground, the bottom 9¾in. (24.8cm.) encased in brass, the flap and pouch later
