A Venice small tazza Circa 1560
Painted in the workshop of Maestro Domenico with Danae about to receive the golden shower and reclining beneath a blue and orange canopy, Cupid with a bow to the right, within a yellow line rim (two rim chips near 12 o'clock and several smaller rim chips, two small star-cracks to underside)
8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) diam.
