The 12in. square dial with cherub mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with sword-hilt half hour and cross half quarter hour markers, signed Step Willmott London, matted centre with ringed winding holes and conforming circular date aperture, silvered subsidiary seconds ring, later blued steel hands, the five pillar movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell
