'FINAL SHOOTING' SCRIPT
1939
A two-hundred and fifty-six page script with a goldenrod cover having a typed title of Selznick International presents "Gone With The Wind" from the novel by Margaret Mitchell starring Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Howard, Olivia de Havilland and a date of January 24, 1939 with Sidney Howard given credit for the screenplay, David O. Selznick listed as producer and now Victor Fleming listed as director. Likely created for the permanent files at Selznick International Pictures as it appears to be the same version as seen in the finished film, this script ends with the famous shot of the camera drawing back as we once did on Scarlett and Gerald, until the tiny silhouetted figure of Scarlett is outlined against Gerald's Tara. Fade Out. The End.
