A Miniature Diorama Of The S.S. HIGLAND MONARCH
Attrb. Capt. B.E. Cutchfield (British, 20th century)
A small scale model built up from the waterline in wood with black painted topsides, white above the sheer line and tan decks. The deck of the model is fitted with numerous details including: anchors, anchor windlass, ladders, cargo hatches and cranes, bridge, life boats, signal flags, ventilators, and numerous other details. The model is set in painted plaster sea, and is displayed in a glass and wood case which is marked on the exterior "HIGHLAND MONARCH 14,000 Tons."
8¾ x 3¾ x 3½ in. (22.2 x 9.5 x 8.9 cm.) cased dimensions.
