London: [n.d.] Hand-coloured engraved map of Africa, on four folding sections, overall size 1540 x 1700mm, the map especially marked in red ink with the routes of all of Stanleys African expeditions in Abyssinia, the Livingstone Search, the Ashantee Campaign, the Trans-African Expedition, the Founding of the Congo and the Emin Pasha Expedition, the map signed at lower right: H.M. Stanley from John Bolton, and dated July 12 1890, each sheet mounted on cloth and folding, red morocco shipcase; together with a copy of James Wyld's lithographic map of South Africa, 1884, dissected, folding, and mounted on cloth, in original cloth folder with original label in Stanley's hand, "South Africa H.M. Stanley" (2)
