Photogravure frontispieces, numerous plates (12 coloured), 3 folding maps (2 in three colours, 1 in four colours) and 1 folding sheet of panoramas in pocket at rear of vol.II, numerous illustrations. Original dark blue cloth, upper covers blocked in silver, spines in gilt, top edge gilt (some scuffing to spines).
