The Beatles
A fan's scrapbook dating from 1964 containing a collection of ephemera associated with The Beatles, some signed, including:
- three Girl Meets Boy magazine pull-out posters, one of John Lennon, one of George Harrison and one of Ringo Starr, each signed individually by subject in blue ballpoint pen, each -- 18x12in. (45.7x30.4cm.);
- a page from Fab magazine depicting Paul McCartney, signed by subject in blue ballpoint pen -- 13¾x9in. (34.8x22.8cm.); the pages of the scrapbook additionally inscribed by the fan with biographies of the band members, handwritten details regarding their age, height, weight, hair and eye colour, favoured clothes and shoes

Lot Essay

The vendor obtained these signatures when The Beatles toured Australia and New Zealand in June, 1964. He was the lucky winner of a competition to meet the group prior to one of their performances in Wellington, 22nd - 23rd June, 1964.
