Circa 1772, blue interlaced L's mark to each, the teapot also with a blue dot and incised pu; the cup and saucer with date letter T for 1772, painter's mark for Fontaine, the cup incised dd, the saucer incised 6
Painted en grisaille with putti in clouds or with trophies, reserved within berried garland surrounds between gilt lines, the border gilt with entwined laurel garlands below seeded panels, gilt line rims
4¾in. (12.cm) high, the teapot and cover; 3in. (7.6cm.) high, the cup; 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) diam., the saucer (3)
