Blue interlaced Ls enclosing date letter L for 1764, painter's mark for Thévenet père, the saucer incised 2
The hemispheric bowl with scroll ring handles, the domed cover with a pink ranunculus finial, each piece painted with a rinceau of entwined gilt palms and berried laurel alternately centering a four-petal puce flower, and a gilt paterae on a blue ground, the gilt dentil rim with a further shaped and gilt-seeded burnt orange band
