A SELJUK CARVED LIMESTONE INSCRIPTION PANEL
Iran or Eastern Mediterranean, circa 12th century
Of rectangular form, the face carved with a broad central register of strong double-outlined kufic on a ground of spiralling vine, plain bands above and below, zigzag band along the bottom, repaired break, slight damages
18 x 28½in. (46 x 72.5cm.)
