Of rectangular form, the central panel with a band of meandering tendrils linking palmettes, flowerheads and split palmettes, plain surround, three indentations above, upper sections weathered, slight old worm

A carved wood bean with very similar design but slightly more elaborated and with an upper band of kufic inscription is in the Museum of Islamic Art, Cairo (The Arts of Islam, exhibition catalogue, London, 1976, no.435, p.282).
