TWO WOODEN INSCRIPTION PANELS
Probably Iran or Anatolia, 13th/14th century
Each rectangular panel carved in relief, one with the shahhada in cursive naskh with a central rosette and flanked by oval panels with palmettes, the other with a verse from the Qur'an within an oval panel, flanked by two smaller oval panels containing the phrase Nasr min Allah wa fath qarib
55 x 7in. (140 x 18cm.) and 51 x 8¾in. (130 x 21.7cm.) (2)
