Central Iran, circa 1200
With flat base, vertical sides and everted flat rim on three feet in the form of red lions, the interior with a central figure of a horseman, the sides with coloured lobed motifs, the rim with a band of reserved stylised kufic against a blue ground, the exterior with a simplified band of naskh inscription, repaired breaks, small areas of restoration
