Ottoman Turkey, late 16th century
The white ground painted in red, green, blue and turquoise under the clear glaze with spiralling blue tendrils issuing hyacinth and tulip flowerheads and serrated leaves, a cusped part panel at each side with arabesque design, the other two sides with part turquoise arabesques, two corners with part flowerheads
