Ottoman Turkey, circa 1570
Each of rectangular form, the cobalt-blue ground with a cusped white palmette panel overlaid by tulips and other flowerheads linked by thin tendrils issuing small saz leaves and overlaid by bold red cloudband-motifs, thin turquoise border above and white band below, each with central drilled hole, two with repaired clean breaks, framed together
each tile 9 x 5 7/8in. (22.7 x 15cm.) (4)
