FROM THE CELLARS OF THE DOMAINE DUJAC
Jacques Seysses, whom I first met after tasting his superb '69 Clos de la Roche in, of all places, New York, I realised that here was a man, an outsider, not a Burgundian, who showed his neighbours how real, pure Burgundy could and should be made. When in October 2001 Anthony Hanson and I called, at short notice, just as the last grapes were being brought in, we noticed that his son, doubtless with parental pride, was very much involved with the harvest and wine making.
