ADMIRAL JOHN DUCKWORTH: AN AUTOGRAPH LETTER
addressed to the Port Admiral at Plymouth, dated 'May 11, 1815' and beginning My dear Admiral! it requests that the Port Admiral be made Duckworth's second in case of Sir Thomas Martin's removal; together with an autograph letter from Admiral Man regarding a friend's promotion; a letter from Capt. Henry Curzon aboard Pallas, Oct 1797 regarding claims to Prize Monies from the San Joseph and an autograph letter from Sir John Borlase Warren addressed 'London 41 Upper Grosvenor St. 13 Decr 1805' regretting he cannot find a as place Midshipman for a friend, but adding whenever the youth comes to sea he must have £25 to £30 a year in addition to his pay, all contained with notes and references (4)
