A PAIR OF VIENNA STYLE COBALT-BLUE GROUND VASES AND COVERS, ON FIXED STANDS
Late 19th/20th century, black beehive marks, the vases signed F. Koller, the stand signed K. Weh.
Of cylindrical form applied with pendant berried vine above a broad panelled lower section moulded and gilt with lion masks, each finely painted front and back with mythological views identified in German below, one with *DIE*ARCADISCHEN*HIRTEN* and *HERSE*OPFERT*DER*MINERVA*; the other with *DAS*URTHEIL*DES*PARIS* and *ORPHEUS*, within beaded surrounds and gilt scrollwork enriched with white enamel 'jewels', on socle, octagonal foot and conforming square stand
