TWO PAIRS OF MEISSEN FIGURES OF MUSICIANS
Late 19th/20th century, blue crossed swords marks, various incised, impressed and painted numerals
Each pair modelled as a shepherdess and companion standing on gilt enriched rocaille-moulded bases, the smaller pair as a flutist with a ewe at her feet, her companion as a bagpiper with a hound and a lamb at his side; the larger pair playing the hurdy-gurdy and bagpipes, respectively
