Each with short broad blade of leaf shape with incised central grooves, the hollow-cast hilt with gently curved guard and ovoid pommels, decorated in relief with dots and incised zigzags, pierced holes for rivets, 10¼ in. (26 cm.) and 8 3/8 in. (21.3 cm.) long; and an Urartian bronze shield tondo, conical in shape, decorated with repoussé bosses around the rim, two pairs of attachment holes on opposite sides of the disc, early 1st millennium B.C., 9 in. (22.8 cm.) diam. (3)
