watercolour heightened with gold on paper, 10 depicting rulers of the Punjab and Sikh heros, each shown in pairs and seated on European style chairs; (1) Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Maharaja Sher Singh, (2) Jawaher Singh, Rani Jindan, (3) Maharajah Gulab Singh, Suchet Singh, (4) Sham Sing Atariwala, Gooroo Pool Sing (5) Hira Singh, Dhian Singh, (6) ?, Maharaja Kharak Singh, (7) Mulraj, Sher Singh Atariwala? (8) Dina Nath, Tej Singh, (9) Amir Dost Muhammad Khan, Ali Akbar Khan, (10) ?, Maharaja Dalip Singh, 10 views of buildings and monuments in Agra, Amritsar, especially Lahore; and 40 occupations, inscribed in English identifying the subjects, portraits and bulidings with gold inner and outer borders, black, orange, blue rules, occupations with gold borders, black, orange, blue rules, original brown tooled morocco binding with tooled scrolling flowers and foliage, marbled paper covered doublures, recto blue flyleaf watermarked, John Miller, Extra Super, Glasgow, 1860 -- 25 x 20cm.
