QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

The S-shaped handle enamelled in tones of white, yellow, lime-green, iron-red and blue against a turquoise ground to depict stylised lotus sprays and arabesque, inset on the gently arched mid-section with a soapstone, furong shi, plaque carved with peaches within a bracket-lobed cartouche, the terminus with similarly carved soapstone, the ruyi-head further decorated with two peaches growing from branches and a pair of bats in flight (minor enamel losses infilled)
