lithograph in colors mounted to a poster with text, 1892, on wove paper, Wittrock's state A (of B), Wittrock records only one known impression in this state (there were also a few unmounted impressions in state B), the lithograph printed to the edges of the full sheet, the poster with margins, pale mat staining, the mounted lithograph slightly lifting at the upper left corner, with horizontal and vertical folds (touched-in in places), a few small tears and splits (backed), pale foxing in the right margin, otherwise in good condition, laid down on linen, framed

This lithograph was commissioned by La Depêche, the Toulouse newspaper, to illustrate the traditional lettered poster advertising the serialization of Les Drames de Toulouse. Complete copies of the poster, as here, are rare.
