The teapot, mark of Emile Hugo, Paris, circa 1855, the remaining pieces, mark of D. Vollgold & Sohn, Berlin, dated 1897
Comprising pear-shaped coffee-pot, teapot, smaller teapot, and cream-jug, each on spreading rim foot, the bodies engine-turned with basketweave beneath a band of key pattern, engraved with Royal Prussian arms and WR monogram with Royal Prussian crown above, each within key pattern and scroll cartouche, the pots with border of stylised leaves and with engine-turned baluster finials, with scroll handles, two with ivory insulators, the German pieces also engraved beneath with WR monogram with Royal Prussian crown above, date 1897 and weight, each marked on base
