Signed Chohei, Edo Period (Early 19th Century)
Oval with applied himotoshi; black lacquer ground; decoration in gold and silver hiramaki-e and onlay of glazed ceramic, malachite and other materials; compartments and risers black lacquer, shoulders and rims gold fundame; signed in gold hiramaki-e on the base Chohei, with a seal; slight old wear; metal ojime

On one side flower arrangements in kakebanaike [hanging vases], on the other side a screen and a bonkei [miniature tray landscape]; openwork metal ojime
