Rounded rectangular with applied himotoshi; black lacquer ground; decoration in gold hiramaki-e with shell and gold foil; compartments, risers and rims gold fundame; unsigned; slight old wear; ivory ojime

On one side farmers planting out rice seedlings; on the other side naruko [bird-scarers] and birds
