Unsigned, Edo and Meiji Periods (the First Late 19th Century, the Second Early 18th Century)
The first rounded rectangular with applied himotoshi; black lacquer ground with gold hirame and kinpun; decoration in gold, aokin, silver and black togidashi-e, hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with gold foil; compartments and risers gold nashiji, shoulders and rims gold fundame; unsigned; hardwood netsuke in the form of a natsume [tea container]; the second also with four cases, black lacquer ground with dense kinpun; decoration in gold, aokin and silver hiramaki-e with gold foil; compartments and risers gold nashiji, shoulders and rims gold fundame; unsigned; old wear and restoration; bone ojime in the form of a puppy on a shell

The first with tokusa [scouring rushes], a stream and hills; the second with a Chinese landscape with pavilions, sea, hills and figures
