Lenticular with integral himotoshi; gold lacquer ground worked in gold and silver hiramaki-e with a pine-needle design; remaining decoration in gold takamaki-e and gold foil with onlay of shell, coral, lead and other materials; compartments and risers gold nashiji, shoulders and rims gold fundame; signed in gold hiramaki-e on the base Morimitsu saku [made by Morimitsu]; some inlay missing; metal ojime, plain dark wood manju netsuke
On each side a variety of shells lying on pine needles
