A 19th-Century lacquered-brass 3-inch refracting telescope,
signed on the back plate DOLLOND LONDON, the 42 7/8in. (109cm.) long body-tube with objective lens dust cap, rack and pinion and draw-tube focusing to the eyepiece extension tube, with star finder, three eye pieces, with two adjustable screws for mounting on the brass tripod with three folding inswept legs with padded feet, contained in a fitted mahogany case with two brass hooks and eyes -- 45in. (114.2cm.) long
