signed on the horizontal circle John Browning, 63, Strand, London with adjustable aperture with dust cap on one telescope, the other with simple draw-tube focusing, the viewing scope adjustable with a clamp and vernier along a scale 0-110° on the edge of the horizontal cricle, the specimen table with clamp, raised on a tapering brass column to a green-painted concave triform foot with brass bun feet fixed to a mahogany base, in a fitted mahogany carrying case with iron handle, the front labelled by scoring on a rectangle of paint Spectroscope -- 15¼in.
