A fine early 20th-Century mainly brass and copper hot bar fired demonstration model of a single cylinder four pillar rotative beam engine,
the riveted copper boiler with level test cock, filler, weight and lever safety valve (weight missing) and chimney, contained in a rectangular brass 'tank' with the engine mounted on top with details including small bore cylinder with centrally-mounted valve chest with regulator and separate steamways, gab valve gear, parallel motion with overmounted single radius link, pierced beam, the trunnions mounted on the entablature supported by four decorated columns with finials, decorative connecting rod and spoked flywheel, the whole finished in lacquer -- 6½ x 6in. (16.5 x 15.2cm.)
