The first with earlier blade with etched decoration on each side of the forte, the brass hilt cast with foliage in relief and retaining some gilding, the grip of natural staghorn, in brass-mounted scabbard (chape missing); the second with brass hilt also retaining some gilding, the quillon-terminals in the form of hound-heads, the shell with a stag-hunt in relief, the grip of natural staghorn, in original leather scabbard with cast gilt-brass mounts and later skinning knife; the third with white horn grip, the brass mounts cast with acorns, hooves, and a stag in relief, in brass-mounted scabbard
