A 28-BORE GERMAN PERCUSSION SPORTING RIFLE

With swamped browned twist octagonal sighted barrel signed in silver on the top flat behind the back-sight, inlaid with two silver lines at the rear, and cut with seven grooves, patent breech engraved with scrollwork, long tang en suite inlaid with silver escutcheon, scroll engraved lock signed in silver and engraved with a recumbent hind, engraved hammer and pivoting safety-stop, figured walnut full stock with carved cheek-piece and chequered grip, scroll engraved iron butt-plate, sliding carved chequered patch-box cover, carved dark horn trigger-guard, set trigger, iron sling mounts, horn fore-end cap, and wooden ramrod
